CastleBranch is a 3rd party company that helps the School of Nursing (SON) track relevant clinical documents, including internal competency checklists and various online training module certificates. These documents are reviewed and approved, which then clears you for the clinical activity.
The SON pays the costs associated with creating an account. However, please consult your supervisor if your teaching assignment requires something other than this verification level. They are the only ones who can remove the requirement for you to maintain your Castlebranch profile.

- You must have an APU employee account with an APU email address.
Adjunct Faculty Instructions
- Click on CastleBranch and then follow the red arrow below and click on ‘Place Order'
- Enter the Package Code: ZU10 - If you have not received the Welcome Letter, please do not use this code
- Press the button that says ‘Continue’

Required Personal Information
- In addition to entering your full name and date of birth, you will be asked for your Social Security Number, current address, phone number and e-mail address.

Immunizations
- Document trackers provide secure online storage for all of your important documents. At the end of the online order process you will be prompted to upload specific documents required by your school for immunization, medical or certification records.

Viewing Results
- Your results will be posted directly to your Castle Branch account. You will be notified if there is any missing information needed in order to process your order. Although 95% of background check results are completed within 3-5 business days, some results may take longer. Your order will show as “In Process” until it has been completed in its entirety. Your school's administrator can also securely view your results online with their unique username and password.

A sample rejection notice is provided below. - When an item is marked "Rejected," your students can view the rejection reason by clicking on the "+" icon next to the requirement in question, which will then open a drop-down window with the reason and recommended next step
